Meet Zoey!

Zoey

This is Zoey my parents new puppy!  I took this on my phone in the car on our way up.  She’s mostly mutt and partly husky.  She’s quite the intrepid explorer (once she has a bit of food in her belly).  She’s very fluffy, not too yippy, but a howler when left alone longer than she deems necessary.  She’s doing good so far.  At eight weeks old my parents get the joyful task of housebreaking her.  Though earlier she started yipping and whining to let us know she needed to go.  Whoo!  She had a small accident yesterday, she was so worn out that late in the evening she didn’t bother to whine, whimper, or even squat.  She just rolled over where she was laying and let go.  It was kind of funny.  We are taking her to the Vet at 11 to get all of her shots and to get her checked out.  I’m not sure how she’s going to like that.  Oh and she likes to chew, tags, beanie babies, fingers, toes.  We’ve got her several toys to make sure she doesn’t chew things like shoes and cords.

Sillyness

So Tommy’s girlfriend is in the other room pretending to be someone else to harass a former friend.  The reason she’s a former friend is because this girl appearently “stole” two of C—-’s boyfriends in the past.  One C—- broke up with because seh thought he was getting to close to that girl, and the latest one broke up with C—- to get with this other chick.  I asked her why and she said because and whenI pressed her she couldn’t provide a suitable answer.

At ninteen years old shouldn’t we be mature enough to let go?  I don’t understand the point of holding grudges.  Espeically about boys.  If they wanted her more then they weren’t worth keeping in the first place.  Good riddance to bad garbage.  I don’t think its worth it to hold a grudge, all it does is make your own life miserable.  I try not to.  I may get mad at someone for a little bit, but usually a day or two later I’m fine.  Maybe someone did something to lose my trust, fine, I don’t trust that person anymore.  There is no reason to worry or care about them anymore.  If I lose a friend then they were losable to begin with.

Maybe if I were in Middle School I’d find what she’s doing funny, and I’d be in there giggling with her.  But now?  I’m 22 years old and I find what she’s doing sad and mean.  I guess this is what being a grownup is supposed to be.  It makes me remember that girl that killed herself after her former best friend’s mom made-up a boy on myspace just to be mean to her.  She was supposed to be a grownup and she did the same thing.  Maybe it’s not a grown-up thing after all.

My photo book is here

My photo book from shutterfly arrived today!  I’m so excited!  I think it looks pretty awesome.  I can’t wait to see my calendars that I ordered as well.  I hope they get here soon.

Today was the second of my first meetings for Phi Alpha Theta.  It brought my total attendance up to four.  Tuesday was supposed to be the first one, but only three people showed up.  So I rescheduled it for today, thinking that more people would be able to make it.  I would be wrong.  That’s okay though.  Four people got to hear my speil and I sent out an email for the rest.  I guess I was just vaguly disappointed that no one made it.  This semester is a complete reversal of roles for the president and the advisor.  Last semester it was Barone hounding Haley this semester I’m the one hounding him!  I hope things go smoothly.  I want to do t-shirts and everything.

Hmm, I think that is about everything of note.  I love working in the archives and Jeff and I had bratwurst and mashed potatos for dinner last night.  WE might have the same thing tonight.  The cats keep trying to get between me and the monitor so I shall sign off here.

Oh all of you must read the Guernsey Litarary and Potato Peel Pie Society by something Schaeffer.  It was brilliant and funny and sad all at the same time.  I cried I laughed out loud repeatedly I cursed the characters all in all a very good book that I would recommend to everyone to read, no matter what your literary preference.

Also Inkheart was a great book and the main characters are totally my kind of people.  They have books all over their house!  Under tables, in the bathroom, hidden under beds!  Totally like our house!

My morning

So I spent my morning looking up and calling reception sites in Huntsville.  The site I reaslly wanted Monte Sano Mountain lodge was taken for Saturday November 7.  They are however available October 31, and November 21, 28 all saturdays.  They are also available Sunday November 8.  I also talked to Vintage Vows, this little chapel out in scottsboro.  Not only was the lady really nice she said she doesn’t have any booking for november yet so that is an option.  Montesano is $1500 with a $600 dollar non-refundable deposit.  Which from other places I’ve looked at including various plantations, Wedding Chapel on the Mountain and The Huntsville Botanical Gardens is a little under average.  Jeff and I get paid this week so we can afford to pay half of the monte sano deposit if my parents will pay the other half.  We just have to do ASAP.  I’d feel bad having the wedding on a Sunday mainly for my way out of town guests, but if I have it kind of early maybe they can still make it home that evening.  Really reaslly late that evening.  Bah.

Shutterfly and bridal gowns

So I’m updating this while trying to bend Shutterfly to my will.  We shall see who triumphs.

In other news I got my wedding dress!  Hurray!  I don’t have any good pictures of me in it.  I went Saturday morning,  all my friends were busy so Jeff dropped me off and went off on his own.  I went as soon as they opened thinking they wouldn’t be busy.  Boy was I wrong.  It was crazy crowded, brides to be and their entourage gaggled about giggling and making merry.  they were so loud!  It was just me but the consultant they assigned to me was very nice.  I tried on three dresses and the third one was it.  I even found the perfect hairpeice to wear with it.  Once I try it on and have access to a camera I’ll post on here that I have them, and I’ll send them to the intrested parties.  Since JEff is not allowed to see them.

Shutterfly is demanding my attention so I must go.  Farewell!
