Once we got home yesterday Jeff really wanted to play his new videogames so the entertainment unit was occupied until the boys came over. Friday nights are Star Wars Game Night. Which is really fun. I play a male wookie! Anyway Friday nights is usually me and a whole bunch of guys, which meansmost ofthe timeI can either get offended or find it hilarious. Most of the time I choose the latter though occasionally while I’m laughing there is a voice in the back of my head going “Ah, you should be horribly offended by that.” Jeff paid me what has to be one of the ultimate compliments, “You’re one of the guys.” I guess what he means is sometimes when a girlfriend hangs out with a bunch of guys she’s So and So’s girlfriend, akward participant, and everyone tries to avoid offending her delicate sensibilities. They’ll still have fun while she’s there, just notthe same kind of fun and if she weren’t. I, on the other hand, happen to love mostof what constitutes man times. I LOVE action movies, I can insult with the best of them, and most of the time I find their vulger sense of humor funny. I am also the creator of the most manly game of all time, the Conan: The Barbarian Eating Game. I hang out with guys some times more easily than I do with girls. Don’t get me wrong, I love me my girl time. I tried to get some boys to play Polly Pockets with me one time and they looked atme like I had gone insane. It’s just with girls, a lot of girl time is you talking about feelings, which is occasionally cathartic and good for you. But all of the time gets very tiring. Maybe it’s because I’m not naturally a very open person. Boys don’t do that. It’s generally one joke after another letting no serious stuff attempt to slide in through the side.
Anyway, Today is Saturday and Jeff has a special ninja class, where he’s gettingtogether with a bunch of other ninja students in the area and doing a special training session. Since I don’t work today and I wantto spend sometimewith him, I’m going along. And I bought two new books to amuse myself. One is history trivia (I’m a nerd, so shoot me) and the other is a novelization of the TV show Psych. I didn’t even read the back ofit, I saw Psych and picked it up. Opened to aboutthe middle end, saw that it looked like it was written in limited third person, Gus, and bought it. One I love Psych, two I love Gus. How could I not like this book?
Alright, enough about me. Ya’ll have a good day and Happy Birthday Issac!
